Facebook LIVE Tips For Network Marketing Success
Using Facebook LIVE can grow your business dramatically and there are many reasons why you would want to use Facebook LIVE…like:
- Increases your reach for Facebook content
- Brand awareness (helps others to know, like & trust you faster)
- Facebook is the biggest social media platform (use it to your advantage)
- It’s an additional piece of internet real estate for yourself (especially if you re-purpose your LIVE videos)
- Works for you 24/7 which helps you leverage yourself (your videos are being watched no matter what time of the day it is, or where in the world your followers are….they can all learn from you at a time that suits them)
In todays video I discuss with you what to do….before, during and after a Facebook LIVE video. If you aren’t utilising your video’s AFTER they have aired or you aren’t sure what to do with the video once the LIVE has finished, you really are missing out on ways to get more eyes on your content and the value you are providing to others.
Facebook LIVE is the way of the future. Video is the way that everything, including marketing is going, so why don’t you look at using it to help you grow your business to get more eyes on what you do so you can then attract leads and followers around that which could potentially bring people to you to look at your business, opportunity or products.
Heres some quick tips on doing a LIVE Video:
Before You Go LIVE:
Think of your main goal for going LIVE! Be a person of value and serve your audience well. Where do you want to direct them to for your goal to be met?
~ Have a relevant place to use as a Call To Action (CTA) this could be a URL, Link, PDF resource etc and direct your viewers to that place so they can learn more valuable info from you and start seeing you as someone of influence/credibility.
~ Work out what you are going to talk about. Maybe Share 2 great tips with your audience on the LIVE video out of the 10 tips you have created content around. Then if they want to hear the other 8 tips, direct them back to your blog, a PDF resource, a link or URL to get those extra bonus tips.
~ Create a compelling or catchy title that makes people intrigued enough to want to jump on your LIVE and tune in.
~ Have good lighting and audio. Doing a LIVE video outside or in your car has great lighting on camera. Or, if you are inside, make sure the window or light is in-front of your face and not behind you. You can also invest in a small light gadget that clips on to your phone/iPad which means it doesn’t matter what time of day you go LIVE, you will always be ready and looking fab!
~ Promote your LIVE before going live. Why not do a quick post on your news feed letting people know you will be going LIVE in 15 mins and the topic will be xyz….this will also entice people to be ready to jump on and will give you more LIVE viewers which Facebook algorithm will reward you for and start showing your video into more people’s news feeds.
~ Think about branding. No one on Facebook is there to be sold to, they want to be educated and entertained. Have fun, use your branding colours in your videos, just like I showed you in the video above. Make yourself stand out with something that people remember you by.
DURING Your LIVE
~Make sure you tell people what they are going to get from the video. Give them the topic, let them know if they will be getting something free if they stay on until the end etc.
~ Have people interact in the video, tell them you will give them a shout out if they share your video with friends while its LIVE.
~ Acknowledge your viewers and answer questions they have in the comments if you can see people interacting.
~ Encourage conversation by asking them to type in their location or where they are tuning in from…..ask them to type a number 1 in the comments if what you shared so far has been of value etc.
~ Share stories, experiences, tutorials etc and use that to refer back to an existing post, resource or blog you have already done that you want them to check out as well.
~ Have a Call To Action at the end of the video and ask one of the viewers to type the URL or resource link in the comment of where you want your viewers to go once the video has finished. Keep your viewers excited to learn more from you.
~ Ask people to “like” and “share” your video with others if they thought it was of value and will also help others learn something from it!
AFTER Your LIVE
~ Why not edit your video! This isn’t mandatory, but can help you to get more eyes on your video if you then edit it, change the thumbnail, add tags that are relevant to the video or even upload it to YouTube as another form of leveraging yourself on a different platform with viewers that prefer YouTube over Facebook!
~ If you have a Facebook fan page and are doing your videos on there, look at your insights and stats so you can see all relevant info as to how many viewers you have had, when they dropped off or if they stayed for the whole video. This can also help you with knowing which topics you are talking about are the most popular.
~ Engage with comments once you start getting them. Many people will watch the replay instead of the LIVE broadcast, so watch what is happening the few hours and days after you have done the video so that you can comment and reply to other people’s comments that start coming in. Don’t ignore comments or leave people ‘hangin….otherwise they won’t be very inclined to come back and watch your other videos at all!
~ Post links to your resources and URL in the comments after the video has finished. It’s a great idea to get your viewers to do this as mentioned above, but if they don’t, or if you need to do it yourself for some reason, do it in the comments and never in the description as Facebook will penalise you for putting external links and URLs in a description and will reduce the news feeds that your video could be shared into!
~ If you have a blog or website, you can now embed your LIVE video straight from Facebook into your blog post, how kick ass is that! This means that you are getting even more eyes and viewers on your content through yet another platform which may have different followers and viewers than the ones who tune into you on Facebook.
Extra Tip:
**Pick a consistent time to “GO LIVE” this can take time to work out when your perfect time of the day is to go LIVE, but have a play around with different days and times to see when you get the most viewers and then the biggest KEY is to stick to that day and time weekly, be very consistent and soon you will have many viewers who will start to see that trend and tune into every broadcast you do!
