How To Show Posture When It Comes To Your Profession
I like to identify “Posture” as having full belief in what you have regardless of external acceptance and approval.
We know that there are a lot of people out there who either, don’t understand Network Marketing enough to be open-minded in taking a look, or, they just don’t believe in it. Our posture and belief will be what helps us grow in the industry, no matter what others think or say. We don’t need to listen to skeptics, especially if they know less about what we are doing than us.
The best way that I see to help build your posture, is to surround yourself with other people who are more experienced or very successful in our profession. Not only will you learn a lot from those people, but you will also hold your head much higher because you are now completely believing that what you are doing is right for you.
Think of it like this: If you are someone who likes to exercise and you know that by exercising you will get stronger and fitter, there’s no way that you would ever doubt that if someone was to come up to you and try to tell you that by exercising those things wouldn’t happen!! You know, and have already probably experienced it happening, so your posture for that subject is very strong and belief very high, so no matter what someone says about it, they wouldn’t change your mind. They would also see how confident you are in your belief and in turn have more belief themselves – See how that could work with network marketing business as well?
Have that same energy for your business, company, products and industry, we know that people can succeed in network marketing, we just have to build ourselves up as we go along in this journey. A good way to do that, is to become more knowledgeable about the entire industry itself. Have a rock solid mindset that no one can shake, and I promise you, you wont need acceptance and approval from the outside world or from those that know less about this profession than you do.
A good way to lessen your energy around rejection, is by not giving up, repeating what you know over and over, and get use to the word “No”.
My team and I have done a competition before which was based on the term “Go for No”. We set a challenge for the team to see who could get the most “No’s” before a certain date, and the person with the most “No’s” was rewarded with a prize! Why not do this for you and your team, make some fun out of rejection, and set an incentive or prize for the person with the most “No’s” in a week/month etc. I also highly recommend you read the book called “Go for No” by Richard Fenton & Andrea Waltz.
I shared another video a while ago on How To Deal With Rejection In Your Business and purely seeing if people are “open” to looking at your business or opportunity. You can check out the post HERE. In this post I covered how its much easier on yourself to basically only see if people are open instead of trying to “close” everyone you come into contact with. By doing this, you’re taking the pressure off yourself, and your more likely to not feel as rejected from the outcome. It also is a far less awkward approach by just seeing if they are open-minded in taking a look at what you have to offer.
It’s hard for us to be use to rejection and failure, all through our school life we are taught that rejection and failure are bad. They are not, and if we can get use to them being in our life, we will have less attachment to that outcome and move forward much quicker.
I hope this was of value to you, I enjoy writing and educating others on what I am enjoying learning myself.
I appreciate any comments or shares and would love for you to share this with your team if you think it can help you all out.
