Keep Up With The Rapid Changes Of Facebook For Marketing Your Business
As I write this post, there are new strategies taking place with how we want to engage with our friends and followers on Facebook, especially in regards to how we are marketing our Network Marketing business through the Facebook platform.
“Social Media is rapidly changing and we don’t want to miss the boat on all the new rules and algorithm changes that are occurring with Facebook”.
Our news-feeds these days are inundated with people who are posting too much and that is basically making ALL of their posts loose traction. Facebook is now penalizing you for posting too much by dropping your engagement in other people’s news feed….how scary is that….so lets look at other ways we can flip that around and start getting high quality engagement again ASAP.
My video explains this and more of the changes that are happening as well. check it out!
Today’s video was inspired by John and Nadya Melton, I absolutely love their style of building a business on Facebook and highly recommend you go over and check them out if you don’t know who they are.
Here is a quick overview of the new changes I mentioned in the video.
1) Post Less For More Engagement :
The old way of posting 5 or more times into your news feed is now out the window. Posting 1-2 times is plenty (how awesome is that for time management) That means we need to think more about “High Quality Content” to post instead of just posting for the sake of hopefully being seen.
2) Stop Clicking “Like” On Others Posts…..“Comment” Instead:
Facebook is so smart it can tell when your just scrolling through your news feed and liking every post hoping that it helps you keep engagement up. The new rule now is, that you need to be actually spending time reading posts properly and then “Commenting” on them if you want Facebook to boost your own posts engagement as well. If you’re just “liking” a post that was quite a long post and should have taken you 1-2 minutes to read, but you didn’t take the time to read it…..Facebook will sense that, and actually penalizes you for not taking the time to read the post you “liked”. Facebook will then drop your own engagement so fewer people see less of your posts in the future. ouch!
3) Test & Tweak When and What You Are Posting:
A lot of us find that if we post at a certain time of day, that we get more engagement….but if you are also posting “High Quality Content” which is valuable to your niche and followers, you will soon see what type of content people are most interested in learning from you. Test out different types of content and different times of the day with that content to see which posts are getting the most engagement and the most comments.
4) Don’t Forget To Prospect & Build Relationships:
It’s all well and good to learn and implement Attraction Marketing strategies with curiosity posts etc, but we can’t forget that behind the scenes we need to STILL be having meaningful conversations with people, building on those relationships, building trust in each other and offering solutions to their pains and struggles. If you just try to implement attraction marketing through posts, and completely leave the private messaging, calling, meeting up with people style of prospecting out of the picture….you are going to miss out on a whole range of people you could have had join you in your business.
5) “Copy and Paste” Posts Will Crush Your Engagement:
If you see a really great post from someone who seems to have gotten them a lot of traction, engagement and leads, using that yourself in a “copy and paste” method will NOT give you the same engagement. Instead, it’s going to absolutely crush any engagement you may have gotten for that post. Facebook very much dislikes you copy and pasting ANYTHING, because in all honesty it’s not yours, you haven’t put any effort into it, so why would Facebook help you promote that!! Instead, if you see a post you really like, and you want similar engagement, remember to use SOME of that content in your post, but be authentic and make the post your own personalised post that will attract your Like-minded follower. The more natural and authentic we are with the words we use and the content we provide, the more we will attract our ideal audience who have similar values and interests to us.
6) New Goal Moving Forward For Your Content & Posts:
Your goal now with Facebook isn’t to ask yourself “how many likes did I get from that post”……….NOW, your goal is to ask yourself “How many people are actually reaching out to me after that post”, we will not get leads from our Facebook posts and content if we aren’t providing high value content that will make others comment or reach out privately to us.
I hope this was of value to you as it was for me. I’d love your thoughts and comments below if your open to sharing them.
Keep Creating Consistent, Authentic, Kick Ass results my friend.
