Do You Know What The 10 – 4 – 1 – Rule Is & How It can Help You Get More Engagement On Facebook
Following on from my last video regarding notes I took from John and Nadya Melton, I wanted to share with you the 10-4-1-Rule they spoke of that is very effective when using it on our Facebook Profile.
This method can really help you to effectively grow your reach, produce content that’s planned out and organised, staying consistent and helping your audience to build trust and see you as an expert in your niche.
“There is a science and an art to creating content on social media and part of making this effective is the 10-4-1-Rule”
So lets check it out in this video!
Here it is broken down
Make sure you post 15 times per week! That’s pretty simple right! and honestly not that time-consuming which is a huge bonus.
10 of those posts are to be nothing about your business AT ALL! instead, they should be about your social life, your kids, hobbies, fitness, quotes, inspiration or content that can teach your audience something. By doing these 10 posts that are basically just “your life in a nutshell” you are helping your audience to see who you are behind the scenes, who you are as a real every day person….and THAT is what will make them learn to know, like and trust you more.
4 of your posts throughout the week are to be subtle business posts. The type of posts that don’t have an intentional call to action behind them, you just want to be causally mentioning your business or products in a very natural non sales-y way (my video above gives you a tip on this)!
1 of your posts per week is the type of post where you are promoting your business through CURIOSITY and with a STRONG call to action. Remember, no company names or product names are to be mentioned (that’s where the curiosity comes in). Make sure that with this post or video that the call to action is strong enough and you generate enough interest from this post that you are then generating leads and actually having people reach out to you!
Look at it like this………..The way you want to promote your company or products is just like how the media promote a movie. They show you a preview of the movie that sparks your attention…..BUT…..keeps you curious enough to want to head to the cinemas and pay to go watch it!
So, what are your thoughts on the 10-4-1-rule? It sure is simple and very effective wouldn’t you agree! Make sure that when you are posting on social media that it is intentional and on purpose. Make sure that you are consistent and have a plan in place. I would love to hear how you use this 10-4-1-rule for your business, so why not drop me a comment below.
Keep Creating Consistent, Authentic, Kick Ass results my friend.
